OPC-3 Formula

OPC-3 is a powerful combination of bioflavonoids containing a superior source of Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins also referred to as OPCs. These

bioflavonoids have numerous functions in the body that include, but are not limited to, being powerful antioxidants crucial to their role in supporting the circulatory system. They strengthen the capillaries and enhance Vitamin C and Vitamin E activity. Most importantly, OPC-3 is a super-effective free radical neutralizer.

What are Free Radicals?

Free radicals are natural by-products of normal metabolic and cellular processes in the body and can also be generated during exposure to certain

drugs, environmental contaminants, and ionizing radiation (e.g., X-rays, gamma rays, ultraviolet radiation). Free radicals can be highly reactive and damage important large molecules such as DNA, RNA, and proteins, as well as deplete critical antioxidant molecules such as glutathione, vitamin C, vitamin A, and vitamin E. Oxygen radicals are one class of reactive agents that can initiate "chain reactions", particularly in the lipid bilayer of cell membranes. This uncontrolled molecular damage can lead to extensive cell and tissue injury and may be responsible for a number of diseases.

Bilberry Extract 25 mg

Derived from leaves and berrylike fruit of a common European shrub similar

to the blueberry. Scientific studies confirm a positive effect on vision. Bilberry

may prevent acute glaucoma attacks or play a role in the treatment of chronic

glaucoma. It may also play a role in relieving menstrual problems; studies

have found it helps to relax smooth muscles like those found in the uterine

wall. Bilberry is nontoxic.

Bioflavonoids 25 mg

Bioflavonoids are found in certain plants to act as light filters protecting DNA

by absorbing ultraviolet light. They have been found to suppress the

tumor-causing aromatase enzyme activity in human cells, which suggests that

bioflavonoids may contribute to the reduction of estrogen-dependent

diseases such as breast cancer. Flavonoids also brought about a marked

inhibition of liver damage caused by another toxin and environmental

contaminant, carbon tetrachloride.
